During the month of May, St. John's will be holding a drive to help homeless women and girls via the organization Dignity Matters.
Dignity Matters is a non-profit based in Wayland, MA that collects donations of items for women and girls that are homeless. They currently donate to shelters all over Massachusetts. The three items that they collect are rarely donated to shelters and there is a huge need for them and currently supplies are very low. These products greatly increase the self-esteem of women and give them the dignity the deserve. for more information on Dignity Matters go to www.dignity-matters.org.
The following items are what St. John's is looking to donate:
1) Gently used or new bras
2) New underpants with tags or in packaging still
3) Feminine hygiene products, preferred are Super Absorbency (either pads or tampons), new unopened boxes or open boxes with individually wrapped products.
Items can be dropped off in the bin outside the church office.
